After learning that the University of Hong Kong intended to remove the Pillar of Shame, Lady Liberty HK set out to preserve the sculpture digitally — to nullify the regime's attempts at suppression and create resources that empower people to speak out.

What They Could Not Topple — The Lady Liberty Hong Kong 3D Model

Lady Liberty stood atop Lion Rock for barely a day before she was defaced, toppled, and thrown off the cliff. Volunteers retrieved her shattered remains by night — and a 3D model now lets her be reproduced anywhere, because what endures is not the statue but what she stands for.
