The 2nd Hong Kong Liberty Art Prize Entry Works Exhibition was held in Ebisu, Tokyo from 11 to 13 January 2025 — five years after the Anti-Extradition Bill movement.
The theme of this year's prize was Symbols of Hong Kong, with the keywords "Diaspora" and "Liberation." The call inspired dozens of submissions from Hong Kong artists around the world, spanning a wide range of styles and media but all centred on the imagination of Hong Kong. The exhibition provided an opportunity for visitors to engage directly with each piece, with organisers on hand to introduce the works in detail.
The exhibition was co-presented with The May 18 Foundation, Artists at Risk Connection, and Freshwater Institute.
