The Freedom Festival and Museum Festival are major state-wide events in Baden-Württemberg. Offenburg — once known as the "city of agitators" and the "secret capital of revolution" — today carries the name "City of Freedom." The city's administration supported Hongkongers' pursuit of democracy by arranging for Lady Liberty HK to be exhibited, giving visitors the opportunity to learn about Hong Kong's story.

The two-day festival concluded successfully. The Salmen Museum subsequently chose to retain Lady Liberty HK for continued display, bringing Hong Kong's story to many more visitors.

The statue's presence in the Salmen Museum carries particular historical resonance: 175 years ago — on 12 September 1847 — at this very location, the "13 Demands of the People of Baden" were adopted, establishing the foundational catalogue of rights that became the cornerstone of Germany's democratic freedoms.
