Be Water. Be United. — 6.12 Tokyo March

- Project
- ACT-002
- Location
- Shibuya, Tokyo, Japan
- Date
- 12 June 2022
Three years ago, Hongkongers gathered outside the Legislative Council without hesitation to prevent the second reading of the Fugitive Offenders Ordinance amendment bill. Three years later, the 612 Humanitarian Relief Fund — named for that day — had been forced to dissolve, and all five of its trustees arrested under the National Security Law.
It was despair. It was helplessness. It felt like an endless battle.
But Hongkongers will not give up.
On 12 June 2022, Hongkongers in Japan and those who support Hong Kong gathered in Tokyo's Shibuya district — reuniting like water, vowing never to forget or lose sight of their purpose. Approximately 200 people joined the march. That day, 43 cities around the world marched alongside them.
Keep fighting and resist tyranny. Do not forget your original conviction. Do not forget 6.12.
